An Unexpected Collaboration
On June 26, 2025, Shallot, the main character from Dragon Ball Legends, will make a dramatic entrance in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero as a playable fighter via a new DLC. This marks a unique collaboration between the console-based fighting game and Bandai Namco’s hit mobile title.
No holding back, okay?

Shallot joins the lineup in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO this June 26th! Can't wait? Shallot will be available in Early Access from June 23rd! pic.twitter.com/WzqzPgYeDh
Known for his original story that exists outside the main timeline, Shallot is an Ancient Saiyan mysteriously transported to the future, where he crosses paths with Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of the Z fighters. A true nod to long-time fans, and a way to bridge the gap between the various gaming iterations of the saga.
A Constantly Evolving Roster
Since its launch, Sparking! Zero has continuously expanded its roster of fighters. So far:
- 11 new characters have joined through the The Hero of Justice pack,
- 8 more were added via the Daima Character 1 DLC,
- and the highly anticipated Daima Character Part 2 is already in development.
This time, though, the developers are venturing off the beaten path by introducing a character exclusive to the mobile universe for the very first time.
Hard-Hitting, Yet Mysterious Gameplay
In the recently revealed trailer, Shallot can be seen engaging in intense battles against iconic opponents like Raditz, Nappa, the Ginyu Force, Frieza, and even Broly. His fast-paced, close-combat style hints at highly dynamic gameplay.
That said, some fans may be left wanting more—at least for now—as Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God transformations won’t be available in this DLC. A curious omission that might be paving the way for future surprises…
The new content will be available in early access starting June 23, with an official release set for June 26, 2025. Without a doubt, this DLC is set to reignite excitement among players and solidify Sparking! Zero as a flagship fighting game title in 2025.
With this new crossover featuring a character from another medium, Bandai Namco once again proves its ability to innovate, surprise, and unite generations of fans around the legendary world of Dragon Ball.
